Asma Jamilah (AJ) Abdu‑Shahid is a seasoned banking professional serving as a Business Banker at Warsaw Federal, where she focuses on commercial and business banking, mortgage lending and business development. With more than 20 years of experience across Retail, Mortgage and Small Business banking, AJ brings a relationship‑driven, customer‑first approach to helping businesses and communities thrive.
In her current role, AJ originates commercial loans and supports the full lending lifecycle. In addition to partnering closely with the Retail team, she also connects small business clients to tools and resources that support SBA and business lending.
Prior to joining Warsaw Federal, AJ held leadership roles at financial institutions including First Horizon Bank, U.S. Bank, First Financial Bank, KeyBank and others. Her career spans multi‑branch management, mortgage leadership, retail operations, and executive leadership, with a consistent focus on sales performance, community engagement, and developing high‑performing teams.
AJ holds education and professional development credentials in business management and leadership, and she is a Certified ABA Small Business Banker. Her achievements include the ICON Award for Outstanding Leadership from First Horizon Bank and recognition through the Dayton Urban League’s Graduate Leadership program.
A committed community advocate, AJ serves as a board member and treasurer of the Greater Cincinnati Realtist Association, reflecting her ongoing dedication to both professional excellence and community impact.
